A writer shaped by a childhood in the United Kingdom where storytelling was simply part of the air we breathed. My father was a published author whose work reached film, theatre, and early British television. He wrote several classic Doctor Who stories, telling me (with a grin) he wrote The Savages, The War Machines, and The Macra Terror “for me,” because I was the devoted young fan in the house. Our home was often filled with writers, actors, and producers. It was noisy, creative, unpredictable — and it quietly built the imagination I rely on today.

I met my wife — a Detroit Rock City girl — while she was visiting London. We were far too young, married anyway, and somehow it worked. After moving to the United States, I founded a production company. Creating for corporate clients.

Now I’m turning to the storytelling that keeps calling me. The Rain Chronicles, a YA sci fi/fantasy series beginning with Burning Rain. Ryanne “Rain” Douglas never meant to be a hero, and she never fits neatly into that role once she’s forced into it. The series explores survival, identity, and the dangerous ways powerful systems turn people into spectacle.
